Home News Student Center News Can Science Point to God? - Debate @ UWM
On Tuesday, March 6th, 2012, Lutheran Student Fellowship @ UWM hosted a debate between Concordia University Wisconsin’s Dr. Angus Menuge, professor of philosophy (pictured far right), and University of Wisconsin Milwaukee’s Dr. William Bristow, professor of philosophy (pictured left foreground), on the question of whether or not Science can point to God. Dr. Menuge defended the glorious design that is apparent in God’s Creation, and Dr. Bristow disputed the idea that scientific investigation of nature can prove the existence of God. Over 300 guests were in attendance and were treated to a fantastic debate by the two presenters. There was ample opportunity at the end of the debate for the audience to address both presenters with questions.
An audio recording of this event is available below for those who were unable to attend. Also made available below is the outline handout and powerpoint by Dr. Menuge.
