JUDGE ME O GOD!
This Sunday in Lent reminds us that “It is appointed for men once to die and then the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). But do you really want to be judged by God? Sinner that you are, do you want God to evaluate your life and pronounce His findings? If we are to go it alone, our futile prayer must rather be, “Judge me not, O God!”

Yet, “It is appointed for men once to die and then the judgment”. That is why it is the miracle of the ages that one particular man was appointed to die, the God/Man, Jesus Christ. He died to deliver us from the damning wrath of God against sin! He died receiving the judgment for all our sin. JUDGE ME O GOD - Not by my own merit or worthiness! JUDGE ME O GOD – by the sacrifice of the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! JUDGE ME O GOD – covered by the risen Christ who comes to deliver me in water and word and bread and wine.
