Would to God that the Day of our redemption and the Last Judgment might come quickly; for I desire this with far greater intensity than any physical liberation, because after such a liberation we should simply get a different Mohammed and pope.  It would be better if everything were at once overturned and done away with, together with all the evils and troubles of this life, than if some temporary change for the better took place.  For we know that an unspeakble joy and an imperishable crown, which we do not see now, are prepared and laid up for us foreiver.  (What Luther Says - #2177 - pp. 699).
