Despairing and presuming are alike blasphemies, for God did not deisre us to be in heaven or on earth but between the two. The feet point downward, but the head points upward; and though we are living on earth, we are commanded to live a heavenly life. In a word, those who are Christians are not entirely fearful nor entirely joyful. With fear rejoicing is combined, with trepidation, hope; with tears, laughter. Therefore we are convinced we shall rejoice perfectly only after laying aside this flesh of ours.
